Absolutely stunning Art Deco sapphire and diamond panel ring. Three vivid blue round cut sapphires with strikingly high crowns are set in a line up the finger. The royal blue sapphires are well matched with slight differences, as you'd expect from natural stones. The centre sapphire is slightly smaller in diameter, though deeper than it's companions, and flanking this sapphire are three old cut diamonds set into a curved shape. The setting edge dips between each of the gemstones, a sign of a well made, high quality ring. Beadwork around the diamonds adds to the glittering top. A tapered band curves up slightly to meet the sapphire and diamond panel with the slender band forming a D shape profile at the back. Circa 1900 - mid 1920s, British in origin.

In very good condition, minor wear in keeping with age.

Sapphire: 3, round cut. Centre is approx 4.6 mm, 0.55 carats. One side is approx 4.9 mm, 0.55 carats, and one side is approx 5 mm, 0.50 carats to total approx 1.60 carats as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Diamonds: 6, old cut. 2 at approx 2 mm each, 4 at approx 1.8 mm each to total 0.16 carats, H / I colour, S12 / I1 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Marked faintly, illegible to me. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat white gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top edge.
