Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring in the loveliest of designs! A step-cut deep blue sapphire is bezel set in the centre of a pave set diamond design. The diamonds create a waterfall of sparkle down the shoulders. The soft curve of the stones around the finger looks amazing as the ringed finger moves and catches the light. To the top and bottom of the sapphire is a simpler design, a curved accent set with diamonds. The gemstones are set into a white top on a slender band of gold which widens to a shape shape profile at the band. This is a low profile ring, designed to sit very low on the finger. The style, in addition to the milgrain beading outlining the top, makes it sparkle beautifully! With no claws to the centre stone and small bead claws to the pave set stones, this is an easy to wear ring. Circa 1920s, British in origin.

Sapphire: rectangle shape, step cut, approx 4.1 mm by 3.9 mm and calculated in mounting as 0.50 carats.

Diamonds: 18, single cut, approx 0.18 carats total weight.

Stamped 18ct PT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
