Sapphire and diamond engagement ring dating to early 20th century. A beautifully royal blue sapphire is set into a bezel in a platinum top. The sapphire is a lovely colour and step cut. The top is edges are sloped slightly and each of the four sides holds a small single cut diamond. Accenting the diamonds is fantastic beaded work and the edge of the diamond halo is scalloped. This ring is incredibly detailed. The detail makes it just stand out. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: deep blue, rectangular in shape, step cut, approx 2.7 mm by 2.7 mm.

Diamonds: 4, single cut, approx 0.03 carats total weight.

Stamped 18ct PLAT, this ring is tested and assessed as mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
