Vintage sapphire and diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. The blue sapphire is square in shape and step cut. At each corner is an engraved facet bead with four diamonds set to each of the flat sides. This cluster of diamonds and beads forms a floral shape. On the sides is a split shank in a leaf design, each of which is engraved with faceted beads designed to give the impression of additional diamonds being set there. Circa 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: royal blue in colour, square shape, step cut. Measures approx 3 mm by 2.95 mm.

Diamonds: 4, single cut, approx 0.03 carats total.

Stamped PLAT 18ct. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
