Incredible antique 15 carat gold and moonstone bracelet. A row of 12 cabochon cut moonstones are bezel set in 15 carat rosey coloured gold. The bezel setting is just around the edge and the back of each gemstone is open. The moonstones are domed on the top with a flat bottom. This bracelet is simple in design with double gold wires with support bars every so often between the two rows. The clasp is a tongue in groove style and makes an audible click when secured. The closure also has a safety catch which flips over to fasten, and a safety chain. This bracelet dates to the Victorian period and is British in origin.

Moonstones: 12, cabochon cut, silver-blue in colour with good adularescence. Each gem approx 6 mm wide at base.

Marked 15ct for 15 carat gold and tested as such. The safety chain looks to be a replacement and tests as 9 carat gold.

Measures 17 cm / 6.7 inches internal diameter. Shown on a 16 cm wrist.

Weighs 11.85 grams.
