Antique ruby half hoop band dating to the early 20th century. Seven cushion cut rubies are graduated in size and are set a third of the way around this ring. The rubies are set in pinched bezels with small claws. Rope detailing peaks out from either side of the rubies. The tapered band is D shape in profile and narrows at the back centre. This would make a wonderful dress ring or anniversary band. Circa 1910s, British in origin.

Ruby: 7, cushion cut. Largest is approx 2 mm by 1.85 mm and the smallest is approx 1.7 mm by 1.7 mm.

Hallmarked for 15 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, 1913.
