Ruby and diamond engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. A stunning and bright ruby is claw set above a halo of single cut diamonds. The pinkish red ruby is definitely the star of the show! It's a lovely older cut and it contrasts nicely with the white of the diamonds. Ten diamonds create a halo which dips in and out around the diamond creating a subtle scalloped edge. Circa mid 1930s - 1950s, British in origin.

Ruby: round cut, pinky red in colour, approx 4.8 mm in diameter and calculated as 0.43 carats within the limits of the mounting. The ruby has been reset or replaced previously.

Diamonds: 10, single cut, approx 0.15 carats together.

Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.
