Antique ruby and old mine cut diamond engagement ring dating to the early 20th century. Four gemstones are set in a square shape cluster with the rubies and old cut diamonds set diagonally from each other. The gems are claw set with milgrain beading to the edges. Flat, wide platinum topped shoulders slope up to the gemstones. The yellow band is D shape in profile. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.

Rubies: round cut, approx 3.3 mm each. They show some facet wear under magnification.

Diamonds: old mine cut, approx 3 mm each, 0.20 carats total, J / K colour, SI2 clarity.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold with the shoulders topped in platinum.

Size: UK - O.5; US - 7.5; EU - 17,7. This ring can be sized between K / 5.25 / 15,8 and R.5 / 9 / 19. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 8.35 mm wide by 4.55 mm deep. 2 mm wide band.

Weighs 3.4 grams.
