Vintage engagement ring set with an old European cut diamond is set in a square shaped setting. Set into the prongs are little round diamonds which just glitter and add that extra bit of sparkle. On either side of the old cut diamond are channel set rubies. The first of the rubies is a square in shape and the second is a fancy cut. The point of the fancy cut ruby leads down the shank, pointing to 4 small pave set round brilliant cut diamonds. Gemstones are set approx two-thirds of the way around the ring so that the glittering diamonds and vivid red rubies can be seen all along the top of the finger. Circa 1930 - 1940.

Diamond: old European cut, approx 5.81 mm to 5.82 mm and calculated in setting as 0.88 carats, H / I colour, I1 clarity.

Accent gemstones: 4, calibre cute and pentagonal cut rubies totalling approx 0.20 carats and 16 round brilliant cut diamonds totalling approx 0.12 carats. Estimated within the limits of the setting.

Not hallmarked, tested and assessed as 18 carat gold

Size: UK - K 1/2; US - 5 1/2; EU - 16.2. This ring can be sized between J / 4.9 and M.5 / 6.5. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures 6.15 mm wide and rises 6.50 mm tall off the finger.

Weighs 4.45 grams.
