Vintage ladies platinum wedding ring dating to the mid 20th century. This band is eight sided on the exterior with a circular interior to fit the finger. Each of the faceted, flat sides is engraved with a wonderful, deep ridged design. This pattern alternates, top on on facet, bottom on the next facet, all around the octagon.

This style of ring is uniquely mid 20th century, British. Platinum became popular in jewellery during the Edwardian and Art Deco eras and reminded popular into the mid century though the differences in styles and themes can be seen. From the more flowery Edwardian, through the geometric Art Deco and into the bolder mid century. Circa mid 1940s - 1950s, British in origin.

Stamped PLATINUM, professionally tested and assessed as such.
