SOLD. Sorry, this item has sold.

Antique old mine cut diamond horseshoe pendant dating to the turn of the 20th century. Seventeen graduated antique diamonds are set into a pretty and elegant horseshoe shape. The diamonds are irregular in shape, as hand cut old mine cuts tend to be. Horseshoes are long thought to be lucky, and this one is the perfect shape for carrying your luck around with you! The diamonds are well matched, all having large open culets, high crowns and chunky facets. This piece is circa 1880s - 1920. We've added a new platinum bail.

Diamonds: 17 total, old mine cut, ranging from 2 mm, 0.03 carats to 2.6 mm, 0.05 carats, to total 0.65 carats, I - K colour, SI1 - I1 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as platinum.

Measures approx 18.7 mm / 0.75 inches tall by 15.5 mm / 0.60 inches as it hangs.

Weighs 2.1 grams.

This piece can be supplied on a modern 9 carat white gold chain, as shown on model. Please choose the length you require at checkout. We do not keep all lengths of platinum chain in stock but please get in contact if you'd prefer a quote for a platinum chain.
