Tourmaline and diamond dress ring dating to the early 20th century. This colourful ring makes quite an impact on the finger! Three deep pinkish red tourmalines are set in a half bezel design with rose cut diamond points between them. The tourmalines are a deep, rich red with a pinkish tone. They are striking, particularly with the small diamond points between them. There is a beaded pattern around the edges of the gemstones. A tapered shank is shaped as a flat pipe cut style, narrowing toward the back. Circa 1910s, British in origin.

Tourmaline: 3, largest is approx 4.6 mm by 4 mm and ends are approx 2.5 mm. They show wear and abrasion to the facets under magnification.

Diamonds: 4, rose cut.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1915.
