Petite purple amethyst pendant dating to the early 20th century. This dainty pendant holds a quarter carat old European cut brilliantly purple amethyst in 10 small claws. From the side the collet is a simple crown style shape. This amethyst came to us without a bail and we've added one.

This sweet piece would make an excellent little gift for a friend or daughter. Any February birthday gals out there?

Amethyst: round cut, measuring approx 4.5 mm and calculated as 0.25 carats within the limits of the mounting.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat yellow gold.

Measures approx 9.55 mm tall including the bail by 5 mm wide.

Weighs 0.2 grams.
