Unique three stone opal and garnet ring crafted in 9 carat gold. I was immediately attracted to this ring! The unusual combination of gemstones and the contrasting shapes and setting types make it such an eye-catcher. The large opal is white in colour, with a blue undertone and shows streaks of green and orange in the light. On either side of this claw set opal are garnets, which are bezel set. The garnets sit nicely against the opal, with their sides tucked perfectly between the claws. A flat, pipe cut shank mimics the straight edge setting of the garnet. The view of the side of this ring, it's profile, is very intricate with a wonderful curved lattice and arched design. Circa mid 20th century.
