Vintage opal and diamond cocktail ring. A large oval shape cabochon opal is white with lovely green and orange play of colour. The opal has a high dome and secured by several pointed claw prongs. Sixteen small single cut diamonds form a halo around the opal. A slender gold band tapers up to the gem set top, pinching in as it nears the stones. Circa Art Deco era, 1930s - 1940s.
Opal: oval shape cabochon measuring approx 10 mm by 8 mm.
Diamonds: 16, single cut measuring approx 1.5 mm each to total 0.24 carats, near colourless and eye clean as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped 18ct, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow and white gold.
Size: UK - N; US - 6.75; EU - 17,1. This ring can be sized between J / 5 / 15,5 and R / 8.75 / 18,75. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 14.9 mm by 12 mm on top by 7.45 mm deep. 2 mm band.
