Vintage opal and diamond cluster ring. A stunning cabochon cut opal shows lovely green, orange and violet play of colour. The opal is secured in multiple little claws and framed by a halo of 10 single cut diamonds. The diamonds are pave set with cut metal work between them giving a bit of extra glitter and sparkle. Tapered shoulders pinch near the cluster and widen into a D shape profile. Circa 1930s - 1940s, British in origin.
Opal: oval shape, cabochon cut, measuring approx 6.75 mm by 5 mm.
Diamonds: 10, single cut, approx 0.10 carats together, near colourless and eye clean.
Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested as 18 carat yellow gold. with the tops of the claws around the gemstones in platinum.
Size: UK - M.5; US - 6.5; EU - 16,9. This ring can be sized between H.5 / 4.25 / 15 and S / 9.25 / 19,1. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 11.50 by 9.6 mm on top by 6.2 mm deep at opal, 2 mm wide band.
