Antique opal and diamond cluster ring set in 18 carat gold. This dreamy ring is the perfect combination of gemstones, both ethereal and sparkly. The bezel set opal has very good play of colour showing multiple colours including green, orange and blue. Framing the opal is a halo of 11 small and sparkly roughly cut diamonds. Delicate milgrain beading dots the edge of the scalloped edge halo. A slender band tapers up toward the gemstone set top and the shoulders are topped in platinum making the ring appear all white from the top. Circa early 20th century, Edwardian era.
In very good condition with typical wear related to age and use.
Opal: round cabochon cut measuring approx 4.7 mm in diameter, excellent play of colour, very vivid.
Diamonds: 11, roughly cut, approx 1.5 mm each to total 0.15 carat, near colour, I clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped 18ct, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
Size: UK - P.5; US - 8; EU - 18,1. This ring can be sized between H.5 / 4.25 / 15 and R.5 / 9 / 19. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 9.15 mm wide by 5.1 mm deep at opal, 1.7 mm band at back centre.
