Antique old cut diamond stud earrings. A staple in any jewellery collection! Old mine cut diamonds are set in buttercup style 12 carat gold mountings. The diamonds are antique, cut by hand, well over a century ago. They have a rounded outline with a steep crown and a large open culet which reflect around the diamond creating the much coveted kozibe effect. Frilly edges mountings have curved bottoms which reflect the lighting back and the wider mountings protect the diamonds. Circa late 19th century diamonds and mountings with newer scroll backs.
