
Old mine cut diamond stud earrings set in two tone gold and platinum. The diamonds are antique, cushion cut in shape, with incredibly small tables and very large open culets. These are lovely, deep, original 19th century diamonds. The diamonds are mounted in simple six claw mountings with gold posts and backs. These are very sparkly and wonderful diamonds which are a great size on the ears. Circa 1860s - 1880s diamonds, we've added the scroll backs.
Diamonds: 2, old mine cut, approx 4.6 mm by 3.8 mm, 0.45 carats total, I / J colour, SI1 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Not stamped, professionally tested and assessed as platinum claws with 18 carat gold posts, we've added new 18 carat yellow gold backs.
Measure approx 4.9 mm by 4 mm.
Weigh 1.6 grams, approx 0.8 grams each.
