Old mine cut diamond set into a gypsy style ring. This diamond is the very epitome of old mine cut! The chunky facets are just incredible, so sparkly! It's been set with six small claws in a way which shows off most of the diamond from the side view. The shoulders are engraved with a wonderful and deep scroll design. A bold dotted, beaded edge lines the engraving which is about halfway around the circumference of this ring. The gold is rosy in colour, a pleasant warm colour which just makes me feel cosy. Circa late 19th century, 1880s - 1890s.

Diamond: old mine cut, approx 5.09 mm - 5.45 mm by 3.58 mm and calculated in setting as 0.66 carats, N / O colour, VS clarity within the limits of the mounting.

Stamped 14k, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat gold.
