Stunning antique diamond engagement ring. This ring is set with a lovely chunky antique old mine cut diamond. The diamond is cushion in shape with an incredibly high crown and large open culet. The diamond is held with eight claws. From the side view the diamond is set into a crown or rex style mounting. It's a very simple and classic style engagement ring which tapers near the diamond and widens at the back. Circa 1870s to 1880s diamond in a setting which dates to around a generation later.

Diamond: old mine cut diamond, approx 5.4 mm by 4.85 mm and calculated in setting as 0.65 carats, G / H colour, SI1 clarity.

Stamped 9ct, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat white gold.
