Old mine cut diamond engagement ring. This gorgeous ring hold a bezel set old cut diamond. The diamond dates to around the turn of the 20th century, making it late Victorian to Edwardian. It has the stunning high crown and teeny tiny table we love so much in old cut diamonds! The mounting is a generation or two newer. It sloped up gently from the D shape profile at the back forming a soft knife edge near the top. Engraved sides just peak out from the front view and can clearly be seen from the sides. A very fine row of milgrain beading around the diamond adds an attractive, sparkly touch. Circa 1900 diamond in circa 1930s mounting.

Diamond: old mine cut, approx 4.6 mm wide by 3.3 mm deep. Calculated as 0.45 carats, I / J colour, VS clarity within the limits of the mounting.

Not stamped, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat white gold.

Size: UK - K; US - 5.5; EU - 16. This ring can be sized between J / 4.75 / 15,6 and N / 6.75 / 17,1. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 6 mm wide by 4.95 mm deep. 1.65 mm band.
