Fantastic diamond encrusted ring dating to the early 20th century. Old European cut and old eight cut diamonds are set into a stunning bombé style ring. This ring is bold with glittering diamonds catching the light yet also elegant in it's sleekly curved design. Pierced metal work outlines the central large bezel set old European cut diamond with a further pieced design setting off the largest of the accent diamonds. The top of this ring is lined in milgrain beading around the filigree design. This ring has been reshanked and behind the diamond lined with yellow gold. This makes this ring solid and comfortable to wear although it does limit the ability to assess the diamonds in the setting somewhat. Circa 1910 - 1930s, likely European in origin.

Diamonds: centre old European cut diamond measures approx 5.2 mm, estimated in setting as 0.60 carats, G / H colour, VS clarity. Accent diamonds total 30. 4 side stones are approx 3.3 - 3.8 mm, and 26 are approx 1.4 mm to 2 mm. Total carat weight of accent diamonds is approx 1.4 carats, G to I colour, SI1 to I1 clarity.
Total carat weight, calculated within the limits of the mounting is 2 carats.

Marked 18ct. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.
