Vintage old European cut diamond engagement ring. This right is set with a bright and brilliant old European cut diamond. The diamond is round with an even faceting pattern and smaller culet often seen in later old cut diamonds. This centre diamond is flanked by pairs of claw set single cut diamonds. True to mid 20th century form this ring is two-tone in colour with the side diamonds set into an illusion style mounting. The diamonds are all in white metal with the fluted yellow gold shoulders meeting the row of gemstones. Circa 1940s, North American in origin.
This ring came to us as part of a set. We've separated the set because they aren't an exact match, though they've seemingly always been together. They've been listed back to back so the customer can decide. We'd be thrilled if they stayed together!
Diamond: old European cut, measures approx 4.9 mm and calculated in setting as 0.45 carats, H / I colour, VS clarity within the limits of the mounting. 4 single cut diamonds total to total approx 0.06 carats together.
Stamped 14K PLAT top. Professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat yellow gold.
Size: UK - P; US - 7.75; EU - 17,9. This ring can be sized between N / 6.75 / 17,1 and V / 10.5 / 20,2. Sizing available for an additional fee.
