Vintage opal single stone ring dating to the mid 20th century. I love the style and design of this opal solitaire! The cabochon cut gemstone has a high domed and is secured in four tab claws. It's a lively opal with streaks of pinks, greens, oranges and some blue which dances in the light. Shoulders are topped in white gold and engraved in a leaf design. This leads to a medium width, pipe cut yellow band. Opal is the birthstone for October. Circa late 1940s to early 1950s, British in original.

The inside of this ring contains an original and very sweet personal inscription, "To My Judy" and "7.8.50"

Opal: oval in space, cabochon cut, approx 8.8 mm by 7.1 mm.

Stamped 9ct, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat yellow and white gold.

Size: UK - N; US - 6.75; EU - 17,1. This ring can be resized between J / 5 / 15,7 and S / 9 / 19. Sizing would be between the Judy and the maker's mark and may disturb one of those if the ring needs to go down very far in size. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 8.8 mm wide by 7.25 mm deep at opal, 2.25 mm at back centre.

Weighs 2.3 grams.
