Beautiful icy blue vintage aquamarine single stone ring. This gemstone is a lovely colour and shape. The blue is a bright light blue and the elongated oval cut is wonderfully flattering when worn. The aquamarine is secured in six pairs of double claw white prongs which blend into the stone to give it a floating on the finger look. A slender gold band provides contrast, blue and gold go very well together. This would make an excellent birthstone ring or unique engagement ring. Aquamarine is the birthstone for March. Circa mid 20th century, British in origin.
In very good condition, minor facet wear to the gemstone.
Aquamarine: oval in shape, measuring approx 9.6 mm by 7.1 mm and calculated as 1.78 carats within the limits of the mounting. The aqua is in good condition with minor abrasion in keeping with age and wear.
Stamped 18ct, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold which is yellow in colour with white claws.
