Bold and striking teal blue spinel set in a 9 carat gold mounting. A massive emerald cut lab created spinel is set in double claw prongs to each of it's four corners. The colour of the stone is a rich jewel toned blue with slight hints of green, a teal shade that is nothing short of showstopping. The under side of the setting is held up with arches of gold and the sloping shoulders are engraved into facets beads of gold lined with a milgrain beaded edge. Circa mid 20th century, British in origin.
In very good condition. The band is not perfectly round, likely from a previous resize down, this is mentioned for accuracy only and does not effect it's use and wear.
Spinel: lab created / synthetic spinel in a deep teal blue colour, emerald cut. Measures approx 16.15 mm by 12.2 mm and calculated as approx 15 carats within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped "9ct GOLD SYN / ST". The setting has been professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is yellow in colour. The other marking indicates that this is a lab created stone.
Size: UK - K.5; US - 5.5; EU - 16,1. Size taken from internal measurements since the ring is not perfectly round. This ring cannot be made smaller. It can be sized up to O.5 / 7.5 / 17,7. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 16.10 mm by 12.8 mm on top and rises 8 mm tall off the finger. Band is approx 2.2 mm at back centre.
