Antique 9 carat gold pin dating to the early 20th century. This is a large pin or brooch with a 1.8 mm square profile wire at the front and 1.3 mm round wire at the pin. The pointed section of the pin is longer than the front section as we often see in antique brooches and pins. This is a bit different and would be lovely for a number of uses. It could easily be a tie pin, for a simple and classy suit accessory. As a brooch it'd be large and striking. And probably my favourite use would be on a chain, to add detail or create an extender. The loops are large enough to thread chains or dog clips through. Circa 1900 - 1920s.
Stamped 9ct on the side, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is rosy in colour.
Measures approx 6 cm / 2.4 inches long, Bar at 1.8 mm wide and pin at 1.3 mm wide.
Weighs 3 grams.
