This ring is stunningly beautiful. It's one of those rings which has perfect proportions, and I just love the little pearl and bright, royal blue sapphires with the gleaming 22 carat yellow gold band. Stunning!

A pearl sits in the middle of a six petalled flower with alternating intensely blue sapphires and glittering diamonds around it. The gemstones are all slightly elongated in shape and are held with a platinum top which shows faint traces of the miligrain beading that once lined it's outer edge. The band of this ring is incredibly bright 22 carat yellow gold. I love the colour of 22 carat gold. It somehow feels so rich and smooth and the colour! Circa late Victorian - Edwardian, British in origin.

Diamonds: 3, old mine cut, all are slightly oval in shape. Approx 0.12 carats total diamond weight, J - L colour, VS - SI clarity.

Sapphires: 3, old cut with small tables and steep crown, bright blue and slightly oval in shape. Approx 0.15 carats total sapphire weight as estimated while set.

Pearl: creamy off white, cultured half pearl, measures 2.85 mm in diameter.

Hallmarks have rubbed substantially with age. A crown and 22 can just be made out. We think the assay office is Birmingham and the date letter has been completely lost due to rubbing and previous resizing. Tested as 22 carat gold.

Size: UK - J 1/2; US - 5 1/4; EU - 49 3/4. Sizing is available for an additional fee. Because of the difficulties in acquiring 22 carat gold sizing will take longer than normal.

This ring has been sized down in the past and as such as a very small section of 18 carat yellow gold in the back, slightly off centre so as to preserve as much of the original hallmarks as possible.

Measures 8.33 mm wide and sits 4.8 mm tall.
