Ladies vintage 22 carat, platinum lined, wedding band. This is just my kind of ring! It's heavy and smooth, feeling very luxe on the finger. This ring has a cushion shaped profile with softly rounded exterior and interior and slightly wider flat sides making it nice and deep. Rather unusually it's 22 carat gold, slightly rosy in colour as gold of this time period often is, and is lined with a layer of platinum to the interior.

Hallmarked for 22 carat gold, assayed in London. Also stamped for the maker WWLd and PLATINUM on the interior. The date letter could either be a b (1917) or q (1931). We're going to err on the side of caution as we normally do, and say it's 1931. It was more common for 22ct rings to be lined with platinum in the 1930s than in the 1910s.

Size: UK - K; US - 5.25; EU - 15,9. This ring is not suitable for resizing, the layering of the two different metals with different working and melting points makes it incredibly difficult.

Measures approx 3.5 mm wide by 2.2 mm deep.

Weighs 6.3 grams. This is a heavier weight ring.
