Garnet and diamond engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. This ring is set with a large round cut garnet framed by pave set diamonds. The garnet is a lovely deep velvety red colour and sits above the diamonds creating a tiered look. The diamond halo is slightly scalloped, dipping between each of the diamonds, and is cut and engraved in an incredibly clever way to make that halo sparkle. This cluster ring is wide and low on the finger making it very easy to wear. Circa 1940s - 1950s, British in origin.

Garnet: round cut, approx 6.4 mm and calculated as 0.90 carats within the limits of the mounting.

Diamonds: 12, mixed single cut totalling approx 1 mm each to total 0.06 carats together.

Stamped 18ct. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 cart yellow and white gold.

Size: UK - M; US - 6.25; EU - 16,8. This ring can be sized between K / 5.25 / 15,8 and Q.5 / 8.5 / 18,5. Sizing is available for an additional fee.
