Antique gold drop earrings set with oval cut, incredibly bright red rubies. These drops started their lives as buttons. We've added simple, curvy kidney shaped ear wires to make them wearable and modern. The buttons are circular in shape with gleaming rubies bead set onto a textured background. Despite being over 100 years old, these are incredibly modern in style, proving that classics never go out of style! These earrings have a small drop, sitting right on the base of the earlobe. Circa turn of the 20th century buttons with modern conversions.

Ruby: 2, pinkish bright red in colour, oval cut, approx 2.6 mm by 2.2 mm each.

Hallmarked with French marks on the original loop of the button back. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold, which is yellow in colour.

Measures approx 1.85 cm / 0.75 inches drop by 1.5 cm / 0.60 inches wide.
