Sapphire and diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. This vintage panel style ring features a fantastic, deeply coloured blue sapphire. The gemstone is French cut in style with the table at an angle to the edges and is set in a milgrain edge bezel. Flanking the sapphire are small, bead set diamonds in a triangle design. To the top and bottom of the sapphire is an engraved beaded faceted design. The top of this ring is tapered and pinches in on the sides of the diamond and leads to a D shape profile band. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.

Sapphire: rectangle in shape, French cut, approx 4 mm by 3 mm. Bright blue in colour and displays some minor colour zoning under magnification which is not visible to the unaided eye.

Diamonds: 2, single cut of approx 1.6 mm each to total 0.03 carats.

Stamped 9c PT, partially disrupted due to previous resizing. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat yellow gold.

Size: UK - P.5; US - 8; EU - 18. This ring can be sized between L.5 / 6 / 16,5 and R / 8.75 / 18,75. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 9.7 mm wide by 3.45 mm deep on top. 1.65 mm band.
