Vintage diamond engagement ring in a beautiful floral design. A round brilliant cut diamond sparkles from within it's mounting The frame around the diamond is cut to reflect light. This serves to make the diamond appear larger than it's actual size. Bead set into the shoulders are diamonds, set into a flared design which form a bow shape. The accent diamonds are outlined in milgrain beading along their edges. The diamonds are set into white gold on a yellow gold band. Typical of mid century engagement rings this ring has a higher set diamond in an illusion design. Circa 1960s, British in origin.

Diamond: round brilliant, approx 2.5 mm and calculated in setting as 0.08 carats, near colourless and eye clean. 6 single cut diamonds total approx 0.03 carats.

Fully hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, 1962. Maker's mark for Charles Green & Son.
