Antique five stone diamond ring. This early 20th century is set with five stunning old mine cut diamonds which are graduated in size. The diamonds are set in a lovely fluted design 18 carat yellow gold mounting. Each of the five diamonds are old cut with hand cut imperfections we adore from this time period. They display very small tables, high crowns, open culets and slightly wonky outlines. The claws between each of the diamonds are split in design and shared between the adjacent diamonds. At the end is a small engraved line where the end claw leads down to the shank. This is simply a beautiful ring. It'd be a wonderful and unique engagement ring or anniversary band. Circa 1900, British in origin.

Diamonds: 5, old mine cut diamonds. Centre is approx 3.7 mm flanked by 2.9 mm diamonds with the end ones at 2.35 mm for a total of 0.70 carats, I / J colour, SI1 / SI2 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in London, date letter for 1902.
