Engraved 22 carat gold and platinum engraved wedding band dating to the mid 20th century. This slender ladies ring is two-tone with a platinum exterior and 22 carat gold interior. The platinum is engraved with a scroll foliate style design which is continuous around the circumference. The band is narrow and from the top only the engraved platinum section is visible with the gold peaking out when viewed at an angle by the wearer. Circa 1950s, British in origin.
Hallmarked for 22 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1959. Also stamped for platinum.
Size: UK - M; US - 6.25; EU - 16,75. This ring is not suitable for resizing, which would disrupt the pattern.
Measures approx 2.5 mm wide by 1.1 mm deep.
Weighs 2.5 grams.
