Antique chunky sterling silver chain necklace. This piece would have originally been used as men's pocket watch chain and is more commonly used today as a ladies necklace. In the centre is a t-bar and each side of the chain terminates in a well sprung dog clip. The curb links on the chain are a bit elongated which makes for an interesting link. Circa early 20th century, 1900 - 1910, British in origin.
In very good condition. The t-bar at the middle is not soldered on and could easily be removed should you prefer a more sleek look. The dog clips are slightly different sizes but have matching maker's marks and date letters on them.
This piece is a good length for a necklace. Circa 1900s, Edwardian era, British in origin.
Hallmarked on the dog clips and t-bar with matching maker's marks for CDB, date letter for 1906. Each curb link also stamped with the lion passant for sterling.
Measures approx 42 cm / 16.5 inches wearable length. Curb links are approx 5.8 mm wide.
