Antique Edwardian bracelet with a heart padlock. This bracelet is crafted in a rose coloured 9 carat gold. The gate style links are four wide with a bezel set opal to the centre of each. The eight opals are very nice and brightly coloured with lovely play of colour in orange, green and bluish flashes. Both ends of this bracelet have a large jump ring style link which are attached to each other by a safety chain. A large heart shaped padlock is threaded through the safety chain so it cannot be parted from the bracelet. When the clasp of the heart is released the hook can be looped through the end rings to secure this bracelet. The fancy gate link is rather unique and certainly eye catching! Circa 1900s.

Opals: 8, oval cut cabochon shape, approx 5.5 mm by 4 mm each.

Stamped 9c on the bracelet's terminating jump ring. The padlock clasp is hallmarked for 1907. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measures approx 17.7 cm / 6.9 inches wearable length by 9.7 mm wide.
