Antique 15ct gold and pearl puffed heart locket. This Edwardian heart is a superb, tactile piece. It's a medium size and is deep with pronounced lobes and a fine point giving it a lovely, classic heart shape. Set to the centre is a creamy white pearl, bead set with an engraved star design. The gold is pale, warm yellow gold with just a hint of rose in it's hue. Inside there are two frames, plastic coverings, and a photograph on one side. Circa 1900, British in origin. Hallmarked for 15 carat gold, assayed in Chester, date letter for 1903. The gold is yellow in colour, with a hint of rose, but much closer to modern yellow gold.
