Gorgeous antique 9 carat locket fob. This fob holds a secret! The bloodstone base is hinged and opens to revel a locket. It's unusual for fobs to be lockets as well and we're thrilled to have found this piece! The widest edges are stepped and shiny. At the base of the foliate style swirled handle is a ridged shell design. The bloodstone base is a deep greenish black in colour flecked with red spots. We've left the original photo inside. It's the bust of a young woman though let me know if you'd prefer that we remove it. Circa Edwardian era, early 20th century.

In very good condition, very minor dent close to one corner.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham 1904. The gold is a warm colour more closely matching modern yellow gold than modern rose gold.

Measures approx 28.3 mm / 1.10 inches tall and 21.8 mm / 0.85 inches by 18.9 mm / 0.75 inches across the base.

Weighs 6.2 grams.

This listing is for the locket fob only, other items shown are available separately.
