Gorgeous amethyst fringe necklace dating to the Edwardian era. Eleven royal purple amethyst gemstones are bezel set along the centre third of a classic and simple link chain. Six of the amethyst are round and of the same size and the five oval cut amethyst between them are graduated in size. The mix of cuts and sizes is very visually appealing and the milgrain beading around the edges of the bezels adds a touch of shine. This piece secures with a barrel clasp. Circa early 20th century.
