Three stone diamond engagement ring dating to the mid 20th century. This lovely ring is classic mid 20th century in style. Each of the three diamonds are held in four claws in a square shape setting which has engraving around it. These diamonds are older than the setting, something that we absolutely love! No one throws away diamonds and diamonds being older than the setting means that someone loved them enough to reset them into a new piece of jewellery, potentially having inherited them. The side diamonds are old European cut diamonds and are less regular in shape with smaller tables and open culets. The centre diamond is slightly newer by a couple decades. It's also slightly less regular in shape however it has a closed culet. Circa 1900s-1920s side diamonds, circa 1920s - 1940s centre diamond, circa 1940s - 1950s mounting.
