Vintage buttercup diamond stud earrings. Small round brilliant cut diamonds are bead set in a hexagon lined in milgrain beading. On the outside of the hexagon, on the flat sides, are little claws. These are off-set to the beads and are in the centre of the curve of the flower petals beneath the diamond. The curves of the petals reflect light back to the viewer. The posts are screw backs. They are likely hand-turned, each back fits with it's own post and they are not interchangeable. Circa 1940s - 1950s.
Diamonds: round brilliant cut, approx 2.4 mm or 0.05 carats each to total 0.10, F/G colour, VS clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Stamped 14KT on each back. Professionally tested and assessed as 14 cart white gold throughout.
Measures approx 7.9 mm wide by 4.8 mm deep. Posts are on the shorter side at approx 8 mm long.
Weigh 1.38 grams total.
