Sapphire & diamond pendant dating to the Art Deco era. Three large transitional cut diamonds are bezel set above a filigree design. Between each of the diamonds is a row of three synthetic blue sapphires. The sapphires are framed by very fine milgrain beading. Around the edge of this pendant is a geometric pierced design with each of the four corners set with an old European cut or transitional cut diamond. The gemstones are all set into a platinum top and the underside and bail of this pendant is white gold.

This piece probably started its life as a brooch and has been converted to a pendant. Circa 1930s, modern conversion.

Diamonds: 7 total, a mix of old European cut and transitional cut diamonds. The largest 3 are approx 3.1 mm each and the smaller 4 are approx 2.2 mm each. Total diamond weight is approx 0.45 carats.

Sapphires: 6, synthetic, royal blue, calibrated carre cut, approx 0.40 carats together.

Not marked, tested as 18 carat white gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.

Pendant measures 3.95 cm / 1.55 inches long and is 1.36 cm / 0.53 inches wide.

Pendant weights 5.1 grams.
