Lovely vintage butterfly pendant set with diamonds and rubies. This is an incredible piece! The body of the butterfly is 14 carat gold. Set into the wings are the most wonderfully coloured rubies and brilliantly white diamonds. This is a small pendant which makes a large impact, being all sparkly and colourful. It looks to have been converted at some point, but we're not sure from what. Circa mid 20th century butterfly.

Diamonds: 10, single cut, approx 1.7 mm each to total approx 0.20 carats, in the near colourless range and very clean.

Rubies: 10, round cut, approx 1.7 mm each, brilliantly red in colour, typical inclusions.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat gold. The gold has a very slightly rosy tone but is closer to modern yellow gold than modern rose gold in colour.

Measures approx 16.6 mm / 0.65 inches tall not including the bail by 19.7 mm / 0.78 inches wide at widest point.

Weighs 1.9 grams.
