Vintage diamond drop earrings set in 14 carat gold. Beautiful round brilliant cut diamonds are set into buttercup style settings. The diamond settings swing gracefully from tapered tear drop shape bars. At the top of the bar is a simple kidney shaped pierced ear wire. These are bright and shiny drop earrings which are articulated in two places. Date to approx the 3rd quarter of the 20th century.

These earrings are yellow gold which has been heavily rhodium plated to turn it white. Because these are earrings rather than a ring the plating is likely to stay in place in for a long time and we have therefore not attempted to remove it.

Diamonds: 2 total, round brilliant cut. 1 is approx 3.65 mm, 0.16 carats, H / I colour, VS clarity. 1 is approx 3.65 mm, 0.17 carats, I / J colour, VS clarity.

Not marked, tested as 14 carat gold.

Measures 2.8 cm / 1.1 inches long and are approx 6.5 mm at widest point.

Weigh 2.8 grams.
