Dainty old cut diamond diamond brooch crafted in yellow gold and platinum for a two-tone look. Set to the centre, in it's own square, is a small 0.05 carat diamond. Straight and flat platinum flat bars come out from the square. These bars are thin from the top and deep to make them sturdy. The gold pin secures with an antique C style catch. Circa turn of the 20th century.

This would make an excellent accent when worn to fasten a shawl or scarf, but even better, I love the idea of it as a tie pin for a groom!

Diamond, approx 2.4 mm, approx 0.05 carats.

Unmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which has a rosy tone but is closer in colour to modern yellow gold than modern rose gold, with the very top of the bars in platinum.

Measures approx 4.15 cm / 1.63 inches long by 3.1 mm wide at diamond mounting and 0.90 mm wide at bars

Weighs 1.1 grams.
