Victorian cut steel chain. This chain is crafted from faceted cut steel beads in an off-set pattern. The pattern gives it texture and makes it sparkle nicely from all angles. The cut steel beads of this piece date to the mid Victorian era, circa 1850s - 1860s, and it's recently been restrung for strength and to ensure it has a long life ahead of it. We love it because the little faceted steel beads sparkle in beautifully in both high and low lighting. The original barrel clasp is present and closes with a pleasant little snapping sound. Circa 1850s - 1860s cut steel, modern restringing.

Not hallmarked, clasp professionally tested and assessed to the 9 carat gold standard.
