Cultured pearl and rose cut diamond earrings in a winged design. A creamy white 5.2 mm cultured pearl is accented with four tapered leaf shapes which are clustered together to give a wing effect. Each of these leafs are bead set with two rose cut diamonds and lined in milgrain beading. The diamonds give a subtle sparkle on the ear and they are an elegant accent to the pearls. These earrings are studs for pierced ears and secure with small scroll backs.
The studs appear to have been converted at some point, from what we can't be sure, though our guess is from earrings for non-pierced ears to ones for pierced ears. Circa early 20th century with later conversion and new scroll clasp backs.
Pearls: cultured, creamy white in colour with good lustre, approx 5.2 mm.
Diamonds: 16 total, 8 in each earrings, all rose cut and measure approx 1 mm each.
Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold with the tops in platinum.
Measure approx 1.09 cm / 0.43 inches by 1.2 cm / 0.48 inches in diameter.
Weigh 2 grams together.
