Antique sterling silver fancy link chain. This chunky Art Deco era chain is designed as a series of five curb links alternating with an elongated, slightly twisted trombone style link. I love the longer links! At certain angles the twist in them causes them to appear to overlap, creating an infinity or figure 8 style design. At each terminating end are matching dog clips. Circa early 20th century, 1920s, British in origin.

In very good condition. I think one of the longer links may be a later addition to make this piece a wearable length but whatever the case, it matches well. The dog clips are nice and springy keeping this necklace secure when worn.

Marked for sterling throughout and the matching dog clips have date letters for 1921 on them.

Measures approx 40.5 cm / 16 inches in wearable length. Long links are 26.2 mm / 1 inch long by 7.8 mm / 0.30 inches tall.

Weighs 45.6 grams. This is a nice, substantial chain.
